Those Ruins

So burn it down
Discover the dusk of your day
Has reached its dawn
So burn it down
Remember to find a new way to carry on

- “Burn It Down” by Alter Bridge

Ah, finally. A proper shot from Scotland. Sadly I forget the name of the ruins but I remember it to be a very bright and sunny day which I’ve converted to give a dark and decayed impression using this tip I found yesterday. I don’t know where the grain effect came from because I didn’t add it but I like it. As for the lyrics I guess that’s what ruins are to me… something that’s been destroyed by man or time to make way for something new. Anyway tell me what you guys think, especially with regards to the processing. Thanks a lot for stopping by!!!

It’s aiight, wonder where the grain came from. Not enough to see for me to be able to really enjoy the beauty of the image.

I think that the darkness of the frame and lack of deatil are what adds to the beauty of it…one of your best Samarth….top shot. Phil

Interesting shot – I like the trees framing it on the left. I’d be very curious to see what it is like in color…

As for the graininess – a little too much, though I guess there’s nothing you can do about it.

Really, really nice Samarth and I like the grainy quality.
You and Phil both had an unseen hand at work in today’s pix. Me like!

It is kind of creepy. I like the framing and the open space on the top right. 8 out of 10

It’s a moody shot that looks like something for halloween…spooky! I like it.
